First of all you need to get a Testing Meter to see if you have a problem or not. Some Homes are worse than others. And it also depends on what appliances/computer/lights are on. So turn lots of things on when you do the test. And test multiple outlets.
If you get a High Reading with the Tester, then you should probably get a Filter. The Filter simply plugs into the outlet. Put it on the Outlet where you got the Highest Reading. And you may even need multiple Filters for a really bad house.
